Koloa Landing Resort Property

Koloa Landing Resort offer luxury villas in the Poipu resort area which is located in Koloa on the island of Kaua'i. This area is located on the south, and usually sunnier side, of Kaua'i which is about 14 miles (by vehicle) southwest of Lihue Airport (LIH). See our map / directions page for exact location.

The large, 25 acre resort property offers several pools and large recreational areas along with lush, tropical landscapes. The property is very much set up to be a destination rather than just luxury lodging. For more on this area, be sure to read our Koloa & Poipu Guide.

Koloa Landing Resort Rooms

The rooms at this resort are condo style villas but can be rented the same as you would with a hotel room. Rooms come in the form of Deluxe Studios, Luxury Villas, or a Penthouse Suite depending on your needs and budget.

Deluxe Studios offer around 500 square feet of space which is a fair amount larger than your standard hotel room. These units come with a queen size bed, queen size sofa sleeper, kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, compact refrigerator, coffee maker, A/C, Wifi, full size washer/dryer, and lanai (balcony). Views can be your choice of full ocean view, partial ocean view, or resort view.

Luxury Villas come with either one, two, or three bedrooms. One bedroom units offer around 800 square feet of space while two bedroom units have 1,300 to 1,500 square feet of space. Three bedroom units offer 2,000 to 2,700 square feet of space and are perfect for larger groups that want to spread out. The same view options of full ocean view, partial ocean view, or resort view are available.

If you're looking to really treat yourself, check out the four bedroom Penthouse Suite with 3,600 square feet of space and spectacular ocean views. Two of the four bedrooms are masters and the suite offers a total of five bathrooms and three private lanais. As if that wasn't enough, a huge kitchen features two wine refrigerators as well as dual dishwashers while the dining room seats ten people who will certainly enjoy their ocean view while they eat.

Koloa Landing Resort Pool & Beach

When you're ready to cool off the resort has you covered with three separate pools. First up is the massive, 350,000 gallon Main Pool that features an infinity edge, waterslides, waterfalls, and a grotto. The 6,100 square foot Lagoon Pool is the perfect place for families to play and splash around. If you need to get away from those splashing families, the Tranquility Pool is for you. This one offers an oasis for those who want a little peace and quiet. Of course, the pool area also offers multiple Jacuzzi style hot tubs as well as cabana rentals.

Ready to hit the beach? While the resort is located very close to the ocean, it's not ocean front (meaning, not located right on the ocean) and the ocean it is near doesn't have it's own beach. While the coast in this area is rocky and not meant for swimming, you do have a few nearby beaches.

The closest place to get in the ocean is Koloa Landing which you can walk to but it's not a sandy beach. It is a popular place to scuba dive or snorkel so booking a proper tour for that is one option.

The closest sandy beach would be Kaheka Beach (Baby Beach) to the west of the resort. You could walk here if you're committed but you're better off driving.

Next on the list is Kiahuna Beach (Sheraton Beach) to the east, as well as its neighbors which are Waiohai Beach Park, Poipu Beach Park, Brennecke Beach. Expect a half mile walk or so to get to these beaches or hop in your car and take a short drive.

Koloa Landing Resort Shopping & Dining

If you're looking for some onsite dining check out Holoholo Grill. If you want to expand your options, take a short walk (or drive if you prefer) to nearby The Shops at Kukuiula which offers many dining (and shopping) options.

Merriman's Fish House Kauai

The next closest option, which requires a short drive north on Poipu Road, is Historic Old Koloa Town. This is a popular and touristy destination for food and plenty of fun shopping experiences.
