It looks like a run down boat ramp, but Koloa landing is one of the best spots to snorkel and SCUBA dive on Kauai.

Koloa Landing is located at Hanakaape Bay and is actually and old boat launch that is not used as a place to go snorkeling or scuba diving. There is no sandy beach here, no facilities, and so not really a beach but we're listing it so you can find it should you want to use it. Various tour companies use it for snorkel and scuba tours as well.
The reef here has a U shape to it and has tons of marine life to view and is often very calm. The sides of the bay usually offer the best places to snorkel. The water is pretty murky near the shore but clears up once your out a bit.
