Koloa, Hawaii

Koloa is located on the south shore of Kauai. There is no translation for Koloa. In 1835 the first successful sugar plantation was started here. It later became part of Grove Farm in 1948. The old sugar mill was designated a national landmark on December 29, 1962. National Register Number 66000296. Old Sugar Mill in Koloa and Sugar Monument is a now a tourist destination with just a brick foundation and brick chimney still standing.

There are many beaches here including Poipu Beach Park, Brennecke Beach, Kiahuna Beach (Sheraton Beach), and many more.
