Kamaole Beach Park I - Beaches On Maui Kihei, Hawaii

Kamaole Beach Park I is one of three Kamaole Beach Parks located in the city of Kihei in south Maui. Though they are very similar, and all right next to each other, this information is for Kamaole Beach Park I but we also have information for Kamaole Beach Park II (Iliiliholo Beach) and Kamaole Beach Park III.

Kamaole I (or just Kam 1) is the largest of the three beaches here and the parking here is pretty good overall. The main lot is small and fills out fast but there is a large lot across the street as well. Expect parking to be more of an issue on weekends when more locals show up.

There is a gas station with a convenience store across the street if you need a quick bite or some drinks. The grass area here isn't huge but does have a volleyball net set up on it.

The sandy area is huge and this is usually a great place to play, swim, and even snorkel at each end near the rocks when the ocean is calm.

If you walk all the way to the north end of the beach that area is actually Charley Young Beach.
