Charley Young Beach is located at the far north end of Kamaole Beach Park I in south Maui. You can easily access the main part by turning onto Kaiau Place off of South Kihei Road. A block down you'll see the beach access. This takes you to the beach and if you turn left you'll be on Kamaole Beach Park I.
Straight ahead and to the right would be Charley Young Beach. It gets pretty rocky and less sandy as you turn right but from there you can see a much better looking and much more secluded spot of sand.
To get to that more secluded area the best bet is to look for the blue public beach access sign off of Iliili Road which you can access from South Kihei Road directly or from Kaiau Place. In fact, if you followed our earlier directions just walk or drive a bit further north.
Everything here is street parking unless you drive up to the tiny lot at Cove Park. Starting from the Cove Park lot at the north, you'll walk down passed two buildings on the ocean side of the street and see the blue access sign. Follow the path down to the beach.
It's not spectacular as a beach but it's good and there usually aren't many people down here.
