The Sheraton Kauai Resort is ocean front right along Waiohai Beach Park. The resort has two outdoor pools, a coffee shop / cafe, and a poolside bar - and it features other amenities such as complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services, supervised child care/activities, room service (during limited hours), a complimentary reception, business center and free parking.
Rooms
The Sheraton Kauai Resort has 391 rooms suites that are housed in eight buildings which are no higher than a mature coconut tree. Grouped together in two locations in the 20-acre resort, room categories are identified according to the primary view in either the Garden Wing or the Ocean Wing.
The resort's major facilities are wheelchair accessible and ADA approved rooms are available. The Ocean Wing rooms share a common entry with one other room, making them ideal for either families or friends traveling together. Bedding choices are either one king or two double beds. Cribs are complimentary but there is an additional charge per night for roll-away beds.
On-Site Dining
Sheraton Kauai Resort has a few oceanfront dining options. RumFire restaurant offers decadent dining that blends Hawaiian-rooted cuisine with global influences. Guests can enjoy island-inspired dishes featuring local ingredients from land and sea. Guests dining at RumFire can also enjoy the 180-degree views of the ocean, the resort's beautifully landscaped ocean courtyard and smoldering fire pits.
At Sheraton Kauai's The Link Cafe, guests can enjoy freshly brewed Starbucks coffee and fresh, casual fare for guests on-the-go.
There's also open air dining at Lava’s on Poipu Beach, a casual and locally inspired bar and grill that offers a great open-air dining experience with service from sunrise to sunset. You'll find it next to the Ocean Pool and beach.
Pool and Recreation
The newly revitalized Sheraton Kauai Resort has two fresh-water swimming pools. The Ocean Pool is located just steps away from Poipu Beach Park and the Garden Pool is set next to the gardens and koi ponds in the resort's Garden Wing.
Additionally, with its close proximity to the ocean, there is also a wide array of beach activities to partake in – and scuba and snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, and beach cabanas are available at their Activity Center which is adjacent to the Ocean Pool. There's also a fitness center - and a 'Auli'i Lu'au every week.
When you're ready to jump in the ocean you'll be steps away from Waiohai Beach Park and Poipu Beach Park with Brennecke Beach a short walk away as well. A short car ride west will take you to Kaheka Beach (Baby Beach) which is great for smaller kids.
