Planation Hale offers three outdoor pools, on-site laundry facilities, four picnic and BBQ areas, whirlpool spas, and shuffle board. The resort offers several restaurants, full concierge, activities desk, mini market, ATM, and a spa. Plantation Hale Suites is within walking distance to fine dining, shopping, beaches, and close to other activities including golf, snorkeling, kayaking, and zip-lining.
Rooms
Plantation Hale Suites offers spacious, newly remodeled deluxe one-bedroom suites. Each suite offers a large bedroom, separate living room, full dine-in kitchen, and more. Within the spacious bathroom, you will find locally made Hawaii bath products. The spacious living room area includes a flat screen TV, cozy seating, and sliding doors leading out to a private lanai. All suites are air-conditioned and have a ceiling fan with high-speed wireless internet.
Amenities include AM/FM alarm clock with iPod docking station, coffee / tea maker with daily in-suite Kauai Coffee, hairdryer, in-suite safe, queen size sofa bed, air-conditioning with ceiling fans, private lanais, roll away beds, daily maid service and cribs.
There are also ADA-compliant rooms.
Pool and Recreation
Planation Hale offers three outdoor pools, four picnic and BBQ areas. In addition to whirlpool spas and shuffle board.
As for beach time, this property is located ocean front on a stretch of Waipouli Beach Park, which is what they're calling Coconut Beach. Sure, it has plenty of sand and it's a massively long beach complete with a jogging or walking path but it's not a good swimming beach. Not only is it full of reef, which makes getting in the water very difficult, but you can also face strong currents in the water.
You'll be slightly better off at Waipouli Beach to the south (similar name, different beach) but far better off (especially with kids) taking a short drive south to Lydgate Beach Park.
