Matt Anderson's Take
Waipouli Beach Park is also known as Baby Beach and Fuji Beach and it's a pretty average beach overall.

The southern portions of the beach are protected from the open ocean and are good places for smaller kids to splash around, but there isn't a ton of room for that because of all of the exposed reef.

The northern end has more sand while the southern end doesn't have much dry sand. It could be a good place for beachcombing but it's not the cleanest beach around. It's feels very much like a locals beach, and if you lived around here you'd probably use it but otherwise it's likely not a destination beach for most.

This is one of those beaches in a neighborhood. As we were visiting this beach, we saw locals residence sitting down with a cup of coffee enjoying the scenery. The reef adds some protection if you want to get wet or look at small sea creatures, but this beach is probably best appreciated by the residents that live here.

Waipouli Beach Park is pretty average overall. It's not bad, few beaches are, but it's not really all that special. If you have limited time on an island wouldn't you rather find a special beach? Yea, me too.
