The Allerton Garden is a National Tropical Botanical Garden and sits right next to it's sister garden, the McBryde Garden - National Tropical Botanical Garden. Both gardens are located in the same area, across the street from Spouting Horn Park / Spouting Horn Blowhole, and share the same parking and ticketing area.
This popular garden has been name as one of the "50 Places of a Lifetime" by National Geographic Traveler and it's easy to see why as it's full of an amazing amount of plant life. The guided tours here are part garden tour and part art exhibit and feature a wide variety of exotic plants, sculptures, and water features. This tour is for children 8 years and older.
Allerton Garden has been the backdrop to many films such as Donovan's Reef, Jurassic Park, and the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. For more on that subject, be sure to read Popular Movies & TV Shows Filmed In Hawaii.
