Cove Park is an interesting little park area with a small sandy beach. It's located right off of South Kihei Road where Iliili Road intersects it.
There is a small parking lot here with a few spots but chances are good that it won't be too crowded here and thus you should have no problems parking.
There is a very small grassy area with a BBQ and picnic table. There's even a small sandy beach area here and it's protected from the open ocean so it could be good for smaller kids.
The problem we have with Cove Park beach is that it just isn't all that great here, the water didn't seem very clear, and there is a huge storm drain located right here by the road so it can have issues from stormwater runoff. So avoid this place during a Brown Water Advisory for sure.
So why come here? Well, this is a popular spot for some beginner level surfing just offshore so it is good for that but otherwise not really much of a destination.
