Ted's Bakery is a North Shore favorite located between Sunset Beach and Kaunala (Velzyland) Beach. It's one of those funky little eateries that echoes the charm of Haleiwa and the North Shore. Ted's is a true bakery, pumping out donuts and cakes as well as plate lunches. But the pies - oh, the pies. That's why you come to Ted's.
May I introduce to you Ted's Chocolate Haupia Pie. Let me spell it out for you; chocolate custard topped with a layer of haupia cream (coconut) on a flakey crust, topped with a light fluffy whipped cream. Uh, it's pretty dang good. The combination of these flavors is a decadent treat for your taste buds, and should not be missed. There are other variants of pies, such as the chocolate macadamia, but chocolate haupia is the way to go.
Some people like to grab their plate lunch from Ted's Bakery and eat outside on the benches. And for those of you who are craving a Ted's pie, but don't want to make the trip to North Shore, you can pick one up at most of the local grocery stores around O'ahu.
The parking can be troublesome during peak hours. A lot of tourists come here so you may have to park out on the street. Ted's also has restrooms located in the back of the parking lot
