Full Description
The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel is a budget option in an otherwise expensive area of Maui. What it lacks in amenities when compared to the nearby mega resorts it makes up for in location since it is located right on Ka'anapali Beach.

You'll also have great access to Whalers Village via the beach walk.

This hotel has the iconic whale shaped pool which was likely a novelty at a time where this was one of the few buildings in the area. These days, the pool area feels very dated and boring compared to what everyone else seems to offer.

The hotel is made up of three six story buildings which have elevators and one three story building (named Molokai) without an elevator so make sure you know what building you are booking in if that matters to you.

Dining options include the Tiki Terrace Restaurant Kaanapali Beach Hotel, the Tiki Grill, and the Tiki Bar.

I love this place for its location! The rooms are decent, the restaurant was expensive, the staff is friendly, and the hotel feels very Hawaiian. We are going to be staying there again soon because we love Kaanapali beach. The price is great for this area, but it still isn't incredibly cheap for Hawaii. Can't wait to go back!

We love the vibe at this place as it feels very welcoming, relaxed, and friendly. The aloha here is strong. The location is excellent, and the room rates seemed reasonable. Keep in mind that it is an older hotel but very well maintained. The rooms are a bit on the basic side and so is the pool, so it doesn't really match up to some of the higher end resorts nearby.

Overall it's just a great place to spend some time. We only had a few days in Kaanapali as we stayed elsewhere for other parts of our trip but this was a great choice for sure. I'd stay here again too.

I forget what they call this place. Maui's most Hawaiian hotel or something. Sounds like a sales pitch but it's so true. I've been meaning to try this hotel but always end up someplace else when I visit Maui. This time I made a point to choose this place and can say that this is the place to come if you want to really experience aloha. Prices here are very good for this area and you can still easily walk to all of the places that the Kaanapali resort offers, like Whalers Village.
