DT Fleming Beach is an all around excellent beach park located in the north Lahaina in west Maui. It has plenty of parking and includes a ton of amenities like BBQ grills, picnic tables, lifeguards, and even has bathrooms and showers.
It's a popular beach and can be good for snorkeling (when the ocean is calm) as well as swimming (unless the ocean is angry) and has a lot of shade from all of the trees nearby.
It will get busy at D.T. Fleming Beach Park, especially on weekends as locals seem to love this beach just as much as the tourists do. It's definitely worth checking out and is located right next to (just east of) Oneloa Beach (Ironwoods Beach) and behind the The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
Oh, and though this ridiculous title has no bearing whatsoever on anything that matters, it was voted as "America's Best Beach of 2006" by some beach doctor guy.

I don't know why exactly but I think this may be my favorite beach on Maui.

Probably one of my favorite Maui beaches of all time. Just love the vibe here and how it feels tucked away. Was never crowded during the week when we would visit either.

What a fabulous public beach. Lots of amenities and parking is pretty good as well. Bathrooms and shower areas were clean and plentiful. The water was clear and the beach was beautiful and clean. Lots of locals and an excellent place to bring a picnic lunch and just spend several hours on. Water is calm and the beach is so easy to get onto and right beside the parking.

An excellent beach park with plenty of amenities and facilities to make spending a day here fun. There are some good shady parts so you don't get too hot as well which I like. Best during the week as it will be busy on weekends.

Nice beach just a few minutes away from our condo on the north end of Maui. Lots of shade for those timid about the Hawaiian sun, although you might want to look out for falling coconuts! Nice surf for slightly older kids to play in and decent snorkeling to the far left.
It's kind of our go-to beach as my teenage son is not into the lying in the sun thing and is more into body surfing the waves. This year, in July, a string of Tropical storms roared through the islands and the beach was more for surfers than swimmers. This is a beach for locals so you won't find the touristy stuff you'll see at places like Kaanapali or Wailea. There are barbecues and picnic tables for lunch but no vendors.

DT Fleming is far enough North to pick up the trade winds making for excellent surf. The beach itself is a little rocky and strewn with driftwood. A great place to watch surfers catch consistent waves. On big surf days it is a great place to feel the power of the ocean as it pounds the shoreline.

One of the nicer beach parks on Oahu. There's a big grassy area for picnicking. This is a family friendly beach- perfect for sunbathing, and splashing around. It's popular here, so you'll see a lot of locals enjoying it. Plenty of parking, which is a plus. It's an upscale beach park for sure. A really nice beach park - I just wish it had a Hawaiian name.

Good beach but gets a little crowded. Maybe slightly over-hyped but still very good.
