Good for swimming when the ocean is calm. This beach is rarely busy.

Po'olenalena Beach is another excellent south Maui beach and often pretty empty. It's just north of Chang's Beach and just south of Palauea Beach (White Rock). Just head down Makena Road and you'll find a decent size parking area as shown on our map.
Walk to the beach and you'll actually be near the center of the entire beach. If you had right (north) towards the rocks you'll find a small path that leads over that area and onto the north section of Po'olenalena Beach which will probably be even less crowded.
Snorkeling can be very good here by the rock areas at either end and the middle. There are some showers on the path at the far left (south) end of the on the path but none at the north end and no other facilities here.
