Chang's Beach is a small beach located in the Makena area of south Maui. This cool little beach can be found just south of Po'olenalena Beach and right behind the Makena Surf - Destination Resorts Hawaii, our map / directions page marks the exact location.
Parking at Chang's Beach is pretty bad with only a few spots in a tiny lot. To find that lot, if you are heading south it will be the first right turn you can make right after you pass the Makena Surf - Destination Resorts Hawaii gated parking lot.
There can be some great snorkeling here as well when the ocean is calm but you won't find a lifeguard so enter the ocean at your own risk. The popular 5 Caves / 5 Graves snorkeling spots is located just south of this beach and many use this beach as a starting point to get to that popular spot (for advanced swimmers / snorkelers / divers only).
This is a pretty small beach and likely won't be heavily used and we really like it overall.
