The Upper Waiakoa Trail is a 3 mile long (each way), out and back style hiking trail in the upcountry area of Kula on the island of Maui. The trail starts at over 6,000 feet in elevation so temperatures are likely to be cool to cold when you're this high up. Dress accordingly and be sure to read Hiking Safety & Essentials before heading out.
Although this is a relatively short trail, it's often considered to be of moderate difficulty due to the higher elevations and the fact that you need to hike other trails to reach the Upper Waiakoa Trail.
Specifically, you can start at the Upper Waiohuli Trail which will end at the south end of the Upper Waiakoa Trail or take the Waiakoa Loop Trail to reach the north end of the Upper Waiakoa Trail.
