Ka Lanakila O Ka Malamalama Church, or Old Hawaiian Church, is just that: an old and abandoned church you can visit on Lanai's east coast. It's part of the failed sugar plantation in Keomoku Village.
Getting here means doing some offroading on a 4x4 only trail. From Lanai City, head toward the north on the same path you'd take for Kaiolohia Bay (Shipwreck Beach). When you get close to the ocean and the road forks with Shipwreck to the left and Keomoku straight (right) follow the Keomoku way for another 5.7 miles and the church will be on your right.
