Matt Anderson's Take
King's Village Shopping Center is located on Kaiulani Avenue, across the street from the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa.

It's not a huge place but larger than it appears from the outside. They claim to have over 45 shops and restaurants in here and it's nice that it's not filled with the usual mall chains.

They used to have a daily "show" when they would do a changing of the guards but it was all a little on the touristy side. Regardless, they stopped doing this show and there are currently no plans to bring it back.

I like that this place isn't filled up with Hot Topics and Sunglass Huts and instead has some unique places to browse. Unfortunately, it always feels pretty dead in here. The property feels old and run down and not in a charming kind of way. Considering how great the location here is it seems like the owners would pump a little money into it and freshen it up and drive in more visitors. As it stands now, it feels like they're watching die in hopes of a big buy out.

King village shopping centre use to be ok but last time I saw it looked like nothing was there. The area there is so good don't know why they wouldn't upgrade it and make it a great tourist area shops or markets etc more restaurants. With international marketplace gone they should have turned kings village into some huge. Hopefully, they do something soon.
