North Beach Airport Beach Kekaa - Beaches On Maui Lahaina, Hawaii

North Beach, which is better known as Airport Beach and sometimes Keka'a Beach, is located in the Lahaina area of west Maui. It's often call Airport Beach beaches it's located close to the tiny Kapalua Airport (JHM) (but nowhere near the large Kahului Airport (OGG) so plane noise isn't likely to be an issue here).

Getting here is pretty easy, see our map / directions page for exact location. From the Honoapiilani Highway, turn towards the ocean onto Lower Honoapiilani Road then turn left onto Honoapiilani Park Access Road (first left) and park at the end. You can easily walk to the beach from this lot and then head north (right).

The beach feels like a resort beach and is lined with mega complexes. It's plenty long but sort of narrow. We like that it doesn't seem to get overly crowded here.

North Beach isn't the best beach for swimming but can be okay when the ocean is calm. It's also nice for hanging out, relaxing, playing in the sand, and watching sunsets. It also seems to be a popular place for snorkeling.

Overall, if you are staying at a nearby resort you'll like this beach and enjoy using it but it's probably not one that you'd put on your wish list. It's very nice but not overly special.
