Full Description
Wailea Beach Park is located in the upscale Wailea resort area in south Maui. This is one of the best beaches in all of Maui and probably the best in south Maui so put this on your list and check it out.

Wailea Beach has a great location and great views all around and is a pretty large beach with a flattened crescent shape to it. The sand is is pure powder so it's great to play in but will stick to you like nothing else can!

The waves are usually gentle so it's great for smaller kids. The water is usually quite clear here though it tends to get a little churned up with the powder sand closer to the shore. It's a good place to snorkel, relax, swim, or have fun on a boogie board (amateur hour only here, these aren't big waves).

There are downsides to Wailea Beach and that starts with the parking situation. Although there are a few parking spots on Wailea Beach road (off of Wailea Alanui Drive), they go quick so arrive early if you are coming by car. You'll find bathrooms and showers on the path between the parking lot and beach.

The water is usually super clear and the powder sand is fun to build with but the water here just never comes off as all that pretty. The darker sand tends to make the water appear almost green in color rather than a beautiful blue that you might find elsewhere. Don't let that stop you, it's clean and clear here, just maybe not as pretty as other beaches.

The beach is located right behind the Grand Wailea A Waldorf Astoria Resort.

One of the best beaches in Maui. The sand is pure powder so fun to build and play in, though it will stick you for 3 or 4 years after you've left the beach. The water is super clear and often fairly clam with pretty gentle waves. It's best if you're staying within walking distance since, as usual, the parking situation is so bad.

I cannot believe how amazing this beach is. I was able to visit like 6 beaches on our trip but this one was my favorite. The water is just so clear and calm and perfect. It's easy to see why it's so popular and so many luxury resorts set up shop here.

This is a clean beach park, with a small sloping grassy area to relax. A few picnic tables. It's nice.
The ocean is calm and inviting. The sand is soft. In my opinion, If you're staying at one of the hotels in South Maui, I'd recommend Wailea Beach as a preferred spot to hang out.

Excellent beach but does get a little crowded. The parking situation is pretty bad so hard to find any decent parking to get here. But the beach itself is awesome and the water is warm and crystal clear.

This is my go to Maui beach. I could spend days here! Parking is often a pain but I like staying at the area hotels whenever I can so I can walk right onto the sand. The water is crystal clear and the sand is very fine. It's just a perfect beach to hang out or swim in. Perfect for families too.

Another great Maui beach for sure, one of the best here. We love playing in the powdery sand here and the water is usually good for kids as well (not too choppy). It's just a perfect beach really!
