Aqua Wave Waikiki - Hotels On Oahu Honolulu, Hawaii

The Waikiki Wave Hotel is a budget boutique hotel in Waikiki but located around 4 block inland from the beach while still be somewhat centered on Waikiki Beach (Main / Center). Not a great location in Waikiki, but not too bad.

The rooms here are a decent size at 328 sq ft with one king or two queen beds (when a lot of hotels use two smaller doubles instead of queens). The suites will be large with around 500 sq ft of space.

There is a little market shop inside for any basic retail items or snacks and drinks. Although there is a pool on this property, it has been permanently closed. For a budget hotel, it does include a decent amount of amenities such as free wifi (in your room and in public areas), a fitness rooms, a mini refrigerator, and a microwave in your room.

They also allow pets here for an extra fee, up to two dogs per room (40 pound limit per dog) and even provide them with food, a water bowl, a dog bed, a toy, and treats. That's good for some, potentially bad for others like those with allergies or don't want to sleep in a room where Fido has been. It sounds like the second floor is the pet floor so you can request it or avoid it as needed.

They claim that they are home to "two of Waikiki’s most popular restaurants" but that's a pretty bold statement with nothing to back it up. The restaurants inside are Da Big Kahuna Restaurant & Bar and China Garden Restaurant.
