The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is located at the far south end of Wailea Beach Park so you can access that wonderful beach at any time just by walking out the back of the resort. This is luxury at its finest and this property has earned 5 Forbes Starts and 5 AAA Diamonds.

Property

First up, we have to mention that this is a luxury property and it's not going to be the cheapest option around. But on the flip side, we love that they don't charge any resort fees. What's even better is that they offer a huge amount of extra features and amenities that are often extra costs (on top of resort fees) at other hotels on the island. We love that you're not nickel-and-dimed here.

Some of these added complimentary services include various daily programs, wireless internet, free cabanas by the pool, outrigger canoe paddling program, transportation to all destinations in Wailea, Kids For All Seasons day camp, snorkel gear, and 24-hour access to cardio and fitness center to name a few.

Rooms

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is all about luxury and service and this property makes that a priority by only offering 383 guest rooms and suites with a staff of 1,000 to take care of the guests. Of those 383 guest rooms, 95 are suites. The rooms and suites come in a variety of categories depending on the view you're after (ocean front, ocean view, and garden view).

Pool & Beach

Most people come to Maui to relax and have fun and so pool and beach time is a big part of any Hawaii vacation. The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has you covered with three different pools and a world-class beach.

On the pool front, the main Fountain Pool is very proper and elegant and just feels luxurious with it's temperature controlled water heated to a lovely 82ºF (26ºC). In the middle of the pool is a gorgeous fountain which just adds to the feeling of luxury.

The next pool is perfect for those who want peace and quiet, which is why it's named the Serenity Pool. This infinity edged pool offers amazing ocean views as well as views of Lanai Island. This is a great way to spend a day if you don't have children or they're old enough to go off on their own.

So what if you have younger kids? Not to worry, the Four Seasons has them covered with the fun Waterfall Pool. This free-form lagoon-style pool is two pools in one and separate by a small slide that the keiki (kids) will love.

Regardless of your choice of pool, all three will offer poolside dining and drink options, chairs and towels, and even free cabanas (first come, first served). Pool attendants come around throughout the day to provide fresh fruit, cold towels, and Evian mist to cool you off. They also offer free sunscreen and aloe gel, cooling cucumber slices to lay on your eyelids, and (are you ready for this) an attendant who will come around and clean your sunglasses. Yes, you have arrived.

Of course, pools are fun but you're really in Maui for the beaches and you'll be just a few steps away from Wailea Beach Park, which is one of Maui's best beaches.

Kids Club

The Four Seasons offers a kids club which they call Kids For All Seasons and, as we mentioned earlier, it's completely free. Anyone who's ever dropped their kids off at a resort club knows how expensive these places can be so having this is a complementary option is a huge value to parents.

They welcome ages 5 to 12 (proof of age is required) and then mom and dad can go off and enjoy a meal or a massage without having to worry about the kids. Kids under 5 are allowed in but must be accompanied by an adult the entire time. Programs include basketball, computer games, gecko/lizard hunts, hula lessons, lawn hockey, lei creations, movies, sand-castle building, swimming, tennis, traditional Hawaiian games, tropical arts and crafts, and more. Evening programs can also include an all-you-can eat kids buffet for an additional fee.

Dining & Shopping

Don't think that the luxury experience ends when it's time to dine. With several onsite dining options you can eat like a king or queen without ever leaving the resort. Onsite dining options include Spago, Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante, Duo Steak and Seafood, and the Lobby Lounge. There are also several dining options within walking distance and several more around Wailea which they'll even drive you to (for free) if you don't have a rental car.
