Mokapu Beach is a gorgeous south Maui beach in the Wailea, just behind the Andaz Maui At Wailea.
To get here from Wailea Alanui Drive, turn towards the ocean on Ulua Beach Road and you'll find some parking at the end. The public showers and bathrooms are located at the end of this road as well.
If you are staying at the Andaz Maui At Wailea hotel then you can simply walk out the back of the hotel and be here in seconds. This beach is located right next to (just north of) Ulua Beach Park.
This is a classic south Maui beach with it's darker brown and very powdery sand. It has a nice crescent shape to it with usually gentle waves. There is some sand that gets churned right in the water right at the shore line but otherwise the water is crystal clear.
It is rocky in some parts and there really isn't any shade here, but it's a really great beach overall. It's a great place for a swim and maybe some snorkeling when the water is calm. It's on the Wailea Beach Walk path so you can also walk to the other beaches and hotels in this area easily.
