Fancy, pricey, and formal (that being relative to island wear I'm used to).

Features
• Food Types: American • Food Types: Hawaiian / Plate Lunch • Payment: $$$ - Pricey - $30 to $60 • Meals: Dinner • Service Type: Table

The Dining Room is located at the Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele, is open only for dinner from 6pm to 9pm and only from Friday to Tuesday (what???), and is a very high end restaurant that features upcountry Hawaiian cuisine that showcases local and sustainable ingredients from the Hawaiian islands.

There are a few things you need to know about The Dining Room if you plan to eat here. First, it's expensive. Really expensive. You're probably looking at bills in the $100 and up range (we've heard of $200 per person meals here even).

Second, they say it's "resort casual" dress but they want men in polo's and dress pants so when it comes to island life I'm calling that formal wear.

Third, we didn't eat here but have heard mixed reviews. We've heard a few rave reviews about this place and it giving people the best meal of their vacation. Well, for the prices we're talking about I would hope that's the case each and every time without exception.

Sadly, we've heard quite a few reviews with complaints on the food quality while many more just claim it to be average. For the price and due to our limited time on Lana'i for doing reviews, we decided to skip it and focus our attention on other island restaurants that more of our readers would be likely to eat at.

If you ate here please tell us how it was!
