Lanai's Shark's Bay, or Shark's Cove as it's also called, is located very close to the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay so if you're staying at that resort it's worth taking a walk here to check it out. Just walk out towards Hulopo'e Bay Beach Park and keep walking to the east end of that beach and follow the dirt path south and you'll be there.

If you're staying in closer to the main town area just head out on Highway 440 south from Lanai City approximately 13 miles and follow the signs to Hulopo'e Bay Beach Park. Park, head towards the ocean and stay to your left and follow the dirt path.

The views here are incredible. Sure, they're ocean views like you can see all over in Hawaii but they also include views of Pu'u Pehe (Sweetheart Rock) which is located right here. Make sure to read up on Pu'u Pehe (Sweetheart Rock) before you go as you'll appreciate what is otherwise just a "rock in the ocean" quite a bit more when you know the legend behind it.

As for the beach, it's not recommended for swimming due to the strong currents. The west side of the point here is Shark's Bay which is more tidepools ad reefy bits than sandy beach. The east side is Shark's Cove because, well, it's a cove.

If you want to actually go down to Shark's Cove Beach you either have walk along the reef and then back into the cove or work your way down the rocks. This is where all of the sand is but there is no good or easy way to get down to the beach so we don't recommend you try. But it's still a neat place to see from above.
