Kawailoa Beach is a nice beach located right next to Chun's Reef Beach in the town of Haleiwa on Oahu's north shore.
Parking here is the same as Chun's Reef Beach where there is some street parking on the mountain side of the road. Walk across the street, down to the ocean, then turn right and walk over to about where the lifeguard tower is or slightly beyond.
This isn't a huge beach but still pretty large and usually has plenty of open room to spread out. During the week it's often dead back here. On weekends it will be more crowded and if the surf is kicking up it may get very crowded.
The water is clear and blue and there are some rocky areas to watch out for. Just be careful and look for some non-rocky spots for water entry. When in doubt, always check with the lifeguard on current conditions and the best areas for swimming.
