The Iliau Nature Loop is a very short nature trail located at the western edge of Waimea Canyon, right at the start of the Kukui Trail. The loop trail is only 0.3 mile long and doesn't really have any real elevation gains to speak of (around 40 feet overall).
It's mainly a beautiful area to get some spectacular views of Waimea Canyon, Kauai's Grand Canyon of the Pacific. There are some interesting plants to view along the trail as well but it's really more about the views than anything else here.
Parking is available on the side of the road, right at the trailhead. The trail itself is safe but be sure to watch small kids so they don't head off the trail as the canyon is a long way down if you stray too far off. Be sure to read Hiking Safety & Essentials before you go.
