The Kamehameha III Birth Site is a small enclosure, located on the Big Island, that is maintained by the Daughters of Hawaii and marks the birth place of King Kamehameha III who was born in 1814. Kamehameha III was the second son of Kamehameha I and ruled the Kingdom of Hawaii until he died on December 15, 1854 (making him the longest reigning monarch in the Kingdom).
