Mexico Cantina Margarita Bar - Restaurants On Oahu Honolulu, Hawaii

Mexico Cantina Margarita Bar is located on the third floor of the Ward Center Ala Moana so the onsite parking will be free. The restaurant is a pretty good size inside and has some decent ocean views with Ala Moana Beach & State Recreation Area just across the street. The inside is nicely decorated and it feels clean inside.

The food here is classic Mexican cuisine so you can expect a large menu of various tacos, burritos, enchiladas, seafood entrees, and they even have a breakfast menu with some tasty looking items on it.

Any time I try a new Mexican restaurant I usually go with a combination plate so I can sample several things at once. So my combo plate this time had a ground beef taco, shredded beef enchilada, and shredded beef burrito as well as rice and beans. It was a lot of food!

The ground beef taco was good but felt like the meat lacked seasoning. The shredded beef items were excellent and very tasty. The rice and beans are also excellent here. The skillet queso we had for an appetizer was good, because melted cheese is always good, but not great.

Service was spot on. Fast, friendly, and always there with a drink refill. It's not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it is very good. I may not make a trip across the island just for this food but I will eat here again when I'm in the area.

I also suggest trying their Taco Tuesdays or Taco Thursdays. On Tuesdays you can get $2 tacos with a few meat options. They're tiny tacos but 3-4 would fill most people up, making it a sweet deal. On Thursdays, it's the same deal but with $4 fish tacos. I'm a fan!
