Holoholokai Beach Park is located right next to the Malama Petroglyph Trail / Puako Petroglyph Preserve as well as The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii. It's not what most people envision when they think of a proper beach, mostly because it's more rocks and coral around here rather than sand. Getting into the ocean can be pretty tricky due to all of the sharp reefy bits as well.
On top of that, if the ocean isn't calm then swimming can be dangerous here. But if the ocean is calm it can be a fun place to swim and possibly even snorkel if you're careful. Just remember that there are no lifeguards here.
In terms of other facilities, it comes complete with showers, bathrooms, BBQ grills, and plenty of grassy and shady areas.
