Lydgate Park II is a huge climbing structure with bridges and slides on it that's close to Lydgate Beach Park and Lydgate Kamalani Park I. If you have kids head over here and let them run around, climb, slide, and generally have a good time.
From the Kuhio Highway, you'll head towards the ocean on Leho Drive, then make a right on Nehe Road. Follow that to the parking lot (or drive further down the dirt road if you prefer) and you'll eventually see the large structure. It's a pretty neat play area.
When it's time to cool off the ocean is right here, but heading closer to Lydgate Beach Park is a better option and safer for kids.
