Apparently, this cupcake shop was the winner on Food Channel's "Cupcake Wars" TV show. I personally don't put any stock what-so-ever in that type of stuff so I gave this place a try when I happened to be in the area and was in need of a sugar boost. If you are looking for it you'll find it just inside the entrance of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa (northwest tower entrance).
The good news is that they make a tasty cupcake! It was a tiny bit dry, maybe it was sitting around in the case for a while, but otherwise fluffy and delicious. I went for the strawberry shortcake which had a great frosting to cake ratio and a nice "real" strawberry taste to the frowsting.
Good cupcake, friendly service, what more could I ask for? Lower prices! My cupcake was a whopping $3.75 for ONE cupcake. Turns out others can be cheaper (red velvet was "only" $2.75) but nearly $4 for one cupcake is pretty ridiculous. I get that rent in the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa isn't cheap but still, pricey! Still, I'd get another one next time I am nearby.
