Pu'u Poa Beach is located in the Princeville area on the north shore of Kaua'i, right next to The St. Regis Princeville Resort. If you are staying at that resort then access is easy right from the hotel. Just walk out the back of the hotel and through the pool area.

If you're not staying here then you can park in a very small lot that will be on Ka Haku Road, on your right just before you approach the little gate house for The St. Regis Princeville Resort. Unfortunately, it only holds a few cars.

From there you'll head towards The St. Regis Princeville Resort but stay to your left and will come upon a beach access path. It will have quite a few stairs as it heads down and around the pool area and towards the beach.

The beach itself is nice and can be a great place for snorkeling if the ocean is calm. If the waves are big here then swimming and snorkeling will not be very good.

The St. Regis Princeville Resort has set up shop here in a big way with lawn chairs and umbrellas so the beach has a very resort like feel to it and will likely be filled with resort guests. While this can be a good family beach and fun place even for kids, note that there is no lifeguard here so keep an eye on the keiki and keep them out if the waves are big.
