Hanama'ulu Beach Park is located right on lovely Hanama'ulu Bay and offers beachgoers some nice amenities such as picnic tables and BBQ grills. You can even camp here, though a permit is required for that.
The beach, although picturesque, isn't the best place to swim. The water here can be murky as the Hanama'ulu Stream empties into the ocean here.
Murky water is not just unappealing in general, it's also the preferred water for sharks (see Shark Attacks In Hawaii). While this place probably isn't overly sharky, it's something to be aware of.
Hanama'ulu Beach Park is a pretty popular, especially on weekends, with local families.
