Kealia Beach Park is a popular beach for surfing and boogie boarding but only among more advanced surfers. You'll find it in the city of Kapaa located on the east (windward) side of Kaua'i.
The north end of the beach is a bit more protected by a breakwater and may be better to splash around in if the ocean isn't too crazy. But generally speaking, this beach can bring in some large waves which is why, of course, it's so popular with surfers and boogie boarders.
Kealia Beach is pretty large and there is plenty of parking here along with bathrooms, showers, picnic tables, and lifeguards. In fact, make sure to speak with the lifeguards if you do plan to go in the water here.
If the waves are big you can expect this place to pack in a crowd. It also tends to get crowded on most weekends as well.
