Full Description
Kealia Beach Park is a popular beach for surfing and boogie boarding but only among more advanced surfers. You'll find it in the city of Kapaa located on the east (windward) side of Kaua'i.

The north end of the beach is a bit more protected by a breakwater and may be better to splash around in if the ocean isn't too crazy. But generally speaking, this beach can bring in some large waves which is why, of course, it's so popular with surfers and boogie boarders.

Kealia Beach is pretty large and there is plenty of parking here along with bathrooms, showers, picnic tables, and lifeguards. In fact, make sure to speak with the lifeguards if you do plan to go in the water here.

If the waves are big you can expect this place to pack in a crowd. It also tends to get crowded on most weekends as well.

Kealia Beach Park is certainly a nice beach with the usual amazing ocean views you'll find all over Kauai. While I enjoy this beach, I enjoy it mainly for watching surfers do their thing. The waves here can be pretty large and rough so it's usually not the best beach to go swimming at.

Beautiful stretch of sandy beach. Lovely to hang out there and watch the surfers. Pristine sand. There is a lovely coastal walk you can do which is well worth it. One of my favourite beaches in Hawaii.

We enjoyed going to Kealia Beach Park and watching the surfers. Sometimes the waves get really big here. Great place to bring a packed lunch to relax and enjoy watching the surfers. It is a very nice beach to walk along and has easy access to the park.

We spent some time on the beach watching the surfers and really enjoyed it. The waves can be pretty big. Even if there isn't any surf action, it's a lovely place to just enjoy watching the waves roll in. It's a long stretch of sand, so never gets too crowded. When we arrived in Kauai for the first time, we drove past and the beach looked so enticing!

This beach is very pretty but the waves were quite large so I wouldn't swim here. We did however stop and have dinner here. They have plenty of covered picnic benches and beautiful views.
