Kapa'a Beach Park occupies a large strip of stand on Kauai's east coast. It's very popular with locals, especially on the weekends since it has a lot of grass, a soccer field, picnic tables, and bathrooms.

The beach itself isn't overly spectacular and many areas are rocky which would make getting into the water difficult. There are patches of sandy beach where you can access the ocean if the waves are calm, likely in the summer months.

In the winter, you'll want to be more careful here and make sure conditions are okay before going into the water. Strong currents and wave action can make this beach less than idea during winter months.

If the wind is blowing it's a great place to watch kite surfers. You'll also find a long, paved beachwalk that runs the length of the beach if you're up for a walk or run. The Kapaa Swimming Pool is located here as well.
