This one goes by several names including Ahihi Cove, Waiala Cove, and Kanahena Cove but it's all the same place. It's located in south Maui, at the south end of the Wailea area.
Getting here is really easy, just follow Makena Road south and it's literally right off the road. You'll pass it just before you reach Ahihi Bay as you head south. If you've run out of road then you went a little bit too far and are at the Lava Fields of La Perouse Bay so you can catch Waiala Cove / Ahihi Cove / Kanahena Cove on your way back.
The cove is a popular spot for snorkeling with both tourists and locals but it's not for everyone. The beach doesn't really exist here, it's more of a rocky shoreline which makes getting in and out of the water a challenge for some. You also won't find any lifeguards here so you're swimming at your own risk. On that note, there are no facilities of any kind here.
Parking is scarce so this place is never crowded. But this is a snorkeler's beach near with beautiful views of Lana'i nestled between some of Maui's nicest private homes. If you can find a place to park, it's a neat place to stop even if just to grab some photos.
