Moloa'a Bay is an amazing beach located in the Kilauea area on the northeast side of Kaua'i. On a calm day, it's a good place to swim and relax with the southeast side of the beach being the best.
Moloa'a Beach offers a classic crescent shape, hidden feel (even if it's not hidden), and clear blue waters that make this an excellent all around beach. It can be a little rocky and reefy in spots but that doesn't take anything away from this place.
There are plenty of trees for shade but no facilities here so use a bathroom before you come here. Also, you won't find any lifeguards here so any swimming you do is at your own risk.
Moloa'a Bay isn't a secret beach and can be very popular with locals so you'll want to get here early in the day and ideally on a weekday because the parking situation is pretty bad here. Follow Moloaa Road to the end and you'll find a few spots but if those are taken back track a bit and park along the street where possible (and where allowed).
Even if you have to walk a bit, it will be well worth it. Just be sure to park only where you are legally allowed to and be respectful of the locals who live around here.
