Purdy's Natural Macadamia Nut Farm was on our to do and see list. When we stopped here we were met by a very sweet, pleasant man who showed us how to crack open macadamias and told us the history and all kinds of info about the farm.

We had a blast cracking them open and sampling was very good. But the best part was being able to buy them and enjoy them later just wish we had bought more as the quickly got ate up.

We ran into Purdy's nut farm by chance. There was a sign on the road, so we decided to stop in. It's a lovely patch of land covered with macadamia nut trees. We were greeted by the owner and he was more than happy to show us around and explain everything you could ever want to know about growing macadamia nuts.

The fun part was when the owner brought us to a table and showed us how to crack open the nuts using these special tools. It was kind of fun. There isn't a ton of activities to do on Molokai, but sometimes it's the simple things that stand out in your memory. Visiting Purdy's just adds to the experience of visiting the remote rural environment of Molokai.

The nuts were tasty - organically grown without pesticides. I particularly enjoyed the ones we cracked open ourselves. They have a small gift shop to buy some nuts to bring home. They sell flavored nuts such as Blossom Honey and Honey Mustard. They also sell Macadamia Nut Oil.

A fun relaxing stop on Molokai. I think most people will enjoy it - I did.
