Rooms
King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel offers 452 rooms which reflect Big Island themes: lava, native flora, and the intricate detail of the Hawaiian tattoo. The room design is based upon these contrasts and themes. The carpet represents the organic flow of the lava fields. The tile is the soft white and beige of the coral sand. The upholstery is based on the red and brown of the famous local coffee and the green of the accent colors come from the many leafy shades of the fern forest. The furniture's contrasting light and dark woods are accented with the elaborate designs of Polynesian tattoos.
Solid wood furniture is chiseled in bold a Polynesian tattoo motif. Bathrooms include tubs, toilets, showers and fixtures, plus luxurious Paul Mitchell products. Each room features a new flat screen TV, complimentary Kona coffee and coffee makers, and complimentary wireless Internet.
In addition to the guest rooms, they have five One Bedroom Suites with oceanfront views. These suites feature a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the parlor, spacious parlor sitting area / separate guest bedroom with privacy door, two full balconies with oceanfront view: one parlor balcony and one guest bedroom balcony, prime location (4th, 5th, & 6th floors – top 3 floors), two full bathrooms, upgraded bathroom amenities, spacious closet area, two 37” flat screen TVs and a convenient desk / work space. Room Amenities include refrigerator, laptop safe, coffee maker with complimentary Kona coffee packets and complimentary internet.
Pool And Recreation
With a view of Kamakahonu Bay and Kamakahonu Beach, the pool and whirl spa provides a refreshing break – and guests can relax and enjoy a drink and pupus (appetizers) from the poolside Billfish Poolside Bar & Grille. Tennis fans will enjoy the TennisCize Tennis Center, which features two championship hard courts.
On-site Dining
Honu's on the Beach Restaurant is opened daily and serves breakfast buffet and a la carte breakfast, nightly dinner with seasonal creations by Executive Chef George Gomes Jr. and weekend buffets. Honu's offers spacious, open-air indoor / outdoor dining and a private dining room that seats up to 70 guests.
Billfish Poolside Bar & Grille serves signature specialty drinks, pupus and snacks from crispy calamari "fritte," seafood cobb salad to kalua pig "sliders."
Island Breeze Luau offers guests of Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel a Hawaiian buffet and food cooked in an imu, the traditional underground oven, as well as dramatic Hawaiian and Polynesian entertainment.
Spa Services
The Spa At Kona Beach Hotel offers relaxation and rejuvenation with all treatments designed with the health and well-being of the guest in mind. Additionally, the professionals at The Spa at Kona Beach Hotel use organically grown and locally harvested Hawaiian Rainforest flower essences and indigenous island plants and minerals in all of their treatments.
