Full Description
Ha'ena Beach Park, also known as Maniniholo Beach, is located along the north shore of Kaua'i in the town of Haena. Don't confuse this beach with Shipman Beach / Ha'ena Beach on Hawaii's Big Island.

Haena Beach has some amazingly clear and very blue waters to play in, though some parts of the beach are rocky and reefy.

This beach does have a lifeguard, bathrooms, and showers along with a large grassy area and picnic tables.

Swimming here is best during the summer months when the ocean is calm. You'll find a large parking area right off the Kuhio Highway.

A great beach overall but expect this one to pack in some crowds on weekends.

A nice spot, though pretty busy when we visited on a Saturday morning. The parking lot was overflowing and a little flooded and it was difficult to find a space. The beach itself is sandy and the surf can be pretty strong, so not always ideal for swimming. It's a pretty location, though, with a beautiful backdrop. You can camp there (with a permit) and there is a shave ice truck.

Beautiful beach park to enjoy without huge crowds. Be careful of the reef as you walk in the ocean. The surge of the waves can knock you over if you're not careful.
