The Luana Waikiki, now owned by Aqua resorts, isn't what you would call the best location in Waikiki if you planned to spend a lot of time on the bach here. It's located on the main "strip" of Waikiki, but this portion of Kalakaua Avenue curves inland quite a bit.

So, to get to the nearest bit of sand in Waikiki, which is Fort DeRussy Beach Park @ Waikiki, you'll be walking for close to half of a mile. Not a terrible walk by any means, but don't expect this to be steps to the sand like many other hotels around here that are right on the beach.

The lodging here is a contemporary boutique hotel with regular hotel rooms, studios with kitchenettes, and larger suites with full kitchens. The hotel does have a small pool as well. For food, you have many options nearby but also the onsite Protea Cafe.
