IHOP Restaurant

What used to be called International House of Pancakes is just plain IHOP these days but it's the same chain of pancake restaurants most people have eaten at somewhere in their life. This location is close to Pearlridge Center and across the street from Neal S. Blaisdell Park in the Pearl City / Aiea area.

Service here is very fast and friendly and our server Chris was very nice. He did have to go over several menu items that weren't available due to lack of food inventory and one of those items was the eggnog pancakes we wanted to try. So we went for the pumpkin pancakes instead with eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns for $8.99. Everything was very tasty and cooked well.

We also ordered some mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and they were large and tasty but not as hot as they should have been. The other meal we ordered was a turkey and bacon sandwich with onion rings for a pricey $11.99. After ordering we found out they ran out of Turkey. What? How does a restaurant run out of so many ingredients exactly? No worries though, they substituted the deli style turkey with the turkey from their dinner entree which was pretty good.

In the end, the food was good, service was excellent, and the restaurant felt very clean. It's nothing spectacular and is a good deal for breakfast items but some of the lunch and dinner items feel a little pricey for diner style food ($2.89 for a soda feels greedy as well).

We'd probably eat here again if we wanted breakfast and were in the area, but even then Anna Miller's is nearby and probably a little bit better.
