Matt Anderson's Take
The Gazebo restaurant is just that, a little Gazebo that's been turned into a restaurant. It's located next to the pool of the Outrigger Napili Shores resort. You'll have to walk towards the ocean, through the resort complex (outdoors) and you'll see The Gazebo right next to the pool.

What you'll likely do next is wait, and wait, and then wait some more. This place is tiny so there aren't many tables and to make things worse it's unusually popular with locals and tourists alike so it's almost always packed full of people with a long wait line. At least you'll enjoy some incredible ocean views while you wait!

They only serve breakfast and lunch here and you can expect the usual breakfast items with a twist like their incredibly famous macadamia nut pancakes along with burgers and sandwiches for lunch.

If you can get a seat fairly fast then give it a try because in addition to the food it's a neat location with great ocean views. You have a good chance of spotting whales between December and May even. Service is usually rated as being good but very high paced as they try and turn over tables to get everyone in and eating.

If you can't get in because of a long wait you can view other Maui restaurants near The Gazebo.

Love the food here, easily our favorite breakfast spot. Agreed that the line can get long but as long as you're not in a hurry then it's really not that bad. Enjoy some ocean views while you wait, it will be worth it.

I cannot believe how people on here are complaining about the wait here at The Gazebo! The food and the view make the wait well worth it. They do TO-GO orders, FYI for those who are just so impatient.

Amazing food, Amazing staff, Amazing view! Couldn't have asked for more! Line always seems long but goes by quicker than you'd think.

This place is unreal. The staff are awesome. The wait can be about 45 min but it can also be 15 min, either way definitely worth the wait. We get an order of the fried rice to-go every time, it’s so good. Most times we can barely eat our meals, the portions are big and the price is good. Will always be a must on our visit to Maui. Stay awesome.

Most of the customers are tourists. Sure, the foods are excellent. But, they are not much better than some of the eateries nearby. With such limited times tourists have in Maui, and considering times spent waiting in line, I clearly don't recommend going here. It is my first time here. Yes, I did wait for approximately 2 hours. Not counting the wait time for the food. Clearly, it wasn't my choice. I went with the wife and kids. Again, I didn't have a choice. Remember we are customers. And there is no business without customers. It doesn't seem that Gazebo cares how long their customers have to wait. Again, foods are great. If you have the time, enjoy yourself. If you are tourists, keep in mind, our primary reason to come to Maui is to enjoy the island. Not to wait in line. We can do that at the DMV line back in the states!

The food here is certainly good but I don't see it being worth the wait. Then again, I pretty much would never wait for food. Why bother when there are just as many other great options? Is there breakfast here really better than anywhere else? Nope, not at all. Sure, those Mac Nut Pancakes are tasty, but just not worth an hour plus wait (if you're lucky).

When you do get in it's very, very tiny inside so you feel packed in. On top of that, you can't help but feeling rushed here as you look out onto a nearly endless line of people waiting to get in. It's one of those places that has a huge amount of hype surrounding it so it's often crowded, especially for breakfast.

Reviews of this place are mixed but many seem as though they would give their first born child to eat here again so if you don't mind waiting then you are likely to have a good time and a great meal. If you don't like waiting, considering calling in your order and getting it to go instead.

Awesome! Known primarily for their breakfasts. This is a cute, oceanfront restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch. Yes, there is an hour and a half to two hour wait, it REALLY is that good. Being that we were staying at Napili Shores, we just called down for an order of their to die for Macadamia Nut Pancakes and avoided the daily 1.5 hour wait. If you're not staying at Napili Shores, just get out your cell phone, call in an order and pick it up.

The restaurant is oceanfront so have a picnic on the beach. It's Hawaii folks, no need to complain, make the best of it. We also chose to have lunch there a few times and were not disappointed. My son regularly ordered a burger and chips, which was huge, perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered a club sandwich which, I kid you not, was so big that I had to take it apart to fit in my mouth, It was awesome! The wait staff are terrific, friendly, and efficient. Take a minute to say aloha and ask their name. Great bunch of girls.

Longest line in Maui and worth every minute! The Gazebo is the place in Maui to go for breakfast and it seems like everyone knows it. I'm a fan of the fried rice but everything is amazing. They are famous for the macadamia nut pancakes. They do not take reservations and they are not open for dinner.
