The Waikiki Beachside Hotel is a bit of a boutique budget hotel with only 79 rooms but has an excellent central Waikiki location. In fact, you are directly across the street from Waikiki Beach (Main / Center) and Kuhio Beach Park @ Waikiki. Not bad for a hotel offering room rates as low as around $150 per night.
On the down side, expect small rooms in the range of 220-244 square feet unless you spring for the Royal Kai Lani Suite with 2900 square feet of space (along with 3 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms for around $1000 per night or more). Valet parking and Internet access are available here for an additional fee, which is annoying.
