Shoreline Hotel Waikiki - Hotels On Oahu Honolulu, Hawaii

Located on Seaside Avenue, near Kuhio Avenue, in Waikiki is the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki. This is a smaller boutique hotel with 135 rooms that has been recently updated (spring of 2013) with a modern look and feel.

The hotel isn't located on Waikiki Beach and the hotel will explain that the beach is only two blocks away, which is technically correct, but that last block is longer than usual so it will feel closer to three blocks. Not a deal breaker for most, but better to know all of the details ahead of time.

Some, but not all, rooms will have a small refrigerator and microwave. A nice perk for a small hotel like this is the fact that they have a pool (many small hotels do not), even if it is on the roof. They do offer parking here but it is valet only and $26 per night. They also have lanai's where some of these older and smaller buildings won't.

While they do have some decent amenities, they also have some of the tiniest rooms around. The smallest queen room has 250 sq ft and the smallest king bed room has 250 sq ft. That's beyond tiny. Bathrooms are also ridiculously small in these rooms. It might be worth upgrading to the larger rooms with 365 or 450+ sq ft if you are claustrophobic.
