Vive Hotel Waikiki - Hotels On Oahu Honolulu, Hawaii

The Vive Hotel is located on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki and is a smaller boutique style hotel. It's centered on Waikiki Beach (Main / Center) but is a full three blocks inland so you will have a bit of a walk to the beach from here.

The brochures tell me that "VIVE is about having energy, taking hold of life and living to the fullest" and "VIVE Hotel is in Waikiki but is not a cookie cutter, traditional hotel experience". The bottom line is that this is a nice looking hotel and it truly is set apart from many other Waikiki area hotels. The rooms and entire theme of the hotel is of a very stylish, modern design.

They only have 125 rooms so you won't be dealing with huge crowds of people like you might find in some of the mega resorts here. This should mean that the Vive staff can provide a better and more personalized service for you.

The prices here are going to be on the lower side (for Waikiki) because it's not right on the beach and it lacks some amenities that larger hotels may offer. For example, you won't find any pool or hot tub here and there is no fitness center and no restaurants or shops on site. Lack of amenities isn't always a bad thing, just as long as you know what you are and are not getting when you book. Besides, you're in the heart of Waikiki and everything you'll need is within walking distance.
