Tavares Beach beach goes by many names. Tavares Beach is the most common, but it's also known as Lamalani, Blue Tile House Beach or just Blue Tile Beach since it is next to Blue Tile Beach House, and Kuau Bay Beach.
Whatever the name, it's just an average beach overall. There aren't many facilities or amenities here, just a port-a-potty style bathroom that you'll likely want to avoid.
It's easy to find right off the Hana Highway, just look for the house with the blue tiles next to it which is the Blue Tile Beach House. The parking lot is pretty rough and small but you'll be able to find a spot if it isn't too crowded (it usually isn't).
The sandy beach isn't very large and not all that great. It is good for swimming in the summer months but has lot of rocky areas in the water. It's a popular surf break in the winter months as well and good for wind surfing year round.
