Waiehu Beach Park is a nice enough beach park for some things, but probably not a place you'd set up shop to swim for a day. It's just not that kind of beach, partly because it's not very sandy in many spots.
You'll find plenty of street parking here along with a large lot at the end of Lower Waiehu Road. This beach is mostly used for surfing and fishing. There is a long man made sea wall and then a smaller sandy beach area with a fairly rocky shoreline.
There is a baseball field directly across the street here but otherwise the beach area is pretty forgettable and nothing special.
