Honokowai Beach Park is easy to find on Lower Honoapiilani Highway and just a bit north of the Ka'anapali area in west Maui. There is plenty of parking in the lot which is located right off the road.
The sandy part is pretty nice and while it is plenty long it's pretty narrow. There is a long reef around 10-15 feet off shore so it does make the waters here very well protected from the open ocean so it can be great for kids and snorkeling.
The park area here is quite nice and it comes equipped with showers and bathrooms and even some playground equipment for the the kids to play on. There is a good amount of grassy area and some shade from the various trees all around.
